The article analyses the relationship between citizens’ trust in local government institutions and participation in local governance. The research results have revealed that citizens’ trust in local government is still low and participation lacks activeness. Civic participation is more active than political participation. Co-designing a social media service for civic participation

User participation in social media design processes has similarities with civic participation for example in urban planning. Internet enables new virtual environments that can be planned collaboratively and be used for civic participation. In the Monimos case study we developed a social media website for immigrants and multicultural associations in a participatory design process together with the users. International audience; The present research work aims to analyze, in an exploratory way, the main characteristics of child participatory budgets during 2019 in eight Spanish municipalities. The experiences of child budgeting are not well institutionalized. In general terms, when a participatory process is finished, all informational traces usually disappear. Psiholoģisko pamatvajadzību saistība ar politisko un pilsonisko rīcību un uzticešanos

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas saistības pastāv starp psiholoģiskajām pamatvajadzībām (autonomiju, kompetenci attiecībām), politisko un pilsonisko piedalīšanos un uzticēšanos. Tā ietvaros tika aptaujāti Latvijas iedzīvotaji (n=88), kuri sniedza atbildes uz psiholoģisko pamatvajadzību aptauju, pilsoniskās iesaistes aptauju, Eiropas sociālās aptaujas pilsoniskās piedalīšanās skalu un tās jautājumiem par politisko un starppersonu uzticēšanos. Rezultātā tika noskaidrots, ka pastāv saistība starp pilsonisko piedalīšanos un psiholoģisko pamatvajadzību (autonomija, kompetence attiecības) apmierinātību, starp politisko uzticēšanos un politisko piedalīšanos, kā arī starp politisko un pilsoni…
